At every visit, we will inspect your vehicle to ensure that you leave with complete knowledge about the condition of your car and that you understand all of your options.
Jim Tisch started Escondido Auto Tech in April of 1988. Escondido Auto Tech was quickly knicknamed E.A.T., by a growing loyal customer base. Starting out as a small two technician shop, E.A.T. grew along with the Escondido community. Then in 1998, Jim purchased the land under E.A.T. and began the transformation that has brought us to the state of the art facility of today. Not only did Jim expand the building but completely remodeled the entire facility. Jim’s goal has always been to have the finest independent repair facility in North County. In keeping with that goal to be the best, E.A.T. has always hired the top, most experienced technicians and management in the industry. Furthermore, with the aquisition of the most up to date equipment and ongoing education and training E.A.T. is the facility you want to bring your vehicle and refer your friends to.

Very high quality or work, service and personal interaction. I’ve been a client of Escondido Auto Tech for 25+ years because of the high quality of their work. I KNOW that when I get my car back it will be in absolute optimum condition. They explain everything very well. I have and will continue to recommend E.A.T to all the folks I know!
Awesome, Professional, and Honest! The team at Escondido Auto Tech is always so professional, knowledgeable, and honest! And I should know…..I have been bringing my vehicles to them for almost 30 yrs, since their opening in 1988! They have never let me down! I appreciate having mechanics that I can trust and depend on. Their service has been invaluable. Thank you! 🙂
Best shop in town! I’ve taken my cars to Escondido Auto Tech for years. I’ve always received excellent service, fair prices and have the utmost confidence that if they say something needs to be done, it’s because it does. They’ve never let me down. Great job guys!
They always fix whatever problem my car presents. The cold rainy weather and warm car engine compartment provided a great place for my local rural mice to have a New Year’s Eve party — under the hood, on the dashboard and even in the trunk. Frank blew the debris from the engine compartment and changed the cabin air filter. Oil of peppermint worked in the cabin after a thorough cleaning with bleach water. The mice are gone — for the moment anyway. So glad to have Jim, Frank and the crew to keep my car running efficiently and comfortable.
