Our Mission

At Escondido Auto Tech, our mission is to provide reliable, affordable, and high-quality auto repair services to our community. We strive to ensure our customers feel confident and safe on the road.

Escondido Auto Tech is a AAA-Approved, family-owned and operated state-of-the-art auto repair, smog station in Escondido CA that services nearly all models of cars, SUVs, and light trucks, including hybrids and diesels. We also staff knowledgeable service writers and employ only the highest ASE-certified mechanics that demonstrate expertise in every automotive service. Escondido Auto Tech has built a reputation based on high-quality and affordable work, as well as a commitment to providing excellent customer service. We believe the proper recycling and disposal of hazardous waste is one of the most important things we can do to protect the world around us, which is why we have partnered with World Environmental to pick up and dispose of our waste oil and filters, Interstate Batteries to handle our battery recycling, and Reliable Tire to recycle our used tires.

In addition to maintaining clean water and soil, we are dedicated to restoring clean air to San Diego. Escondido Auto Tech is not only a STAR Smog Station, which allows us to repair vehicles that have failed their smog inspection, but we are part of the leading school (Furgerson's Automotive and Smog Training) in San Diego that trains mechanics to become CA licensed smog test and repair inspectors.

In The Beginning...

Escondido Auto Tech was quickly nicknamed E.A.T. by a growing loyal customer base. Starting out as a small two technician shop, E.A.T. grew along with the Escondido community. Then in 1998, the owner purchased the land in which the building sat on and began the transformation that has brought us to the state of the art facility of today. Not only did the owner expand the building but completely remodeled the entire facility.

In keeping with that goal to be the best, E.A.T. has always hired the top, most experienced technicians and management in the industry. Furthermore, with the acquisition of the most up to date equipment and ongoing education and training E.A.T. is the facility you want to bring your vehicle and refer your friends to. Escondido Auto Tech is a certified auto repair California-licensed STAR Smog Test and Repair Station. We've attained this status by meeting high performance standards established by the Bureau of Automotive Repair and we are dedicated to continuing California's efforts to further improve the quality of air Californians breathe. By being a STAR Test and Repair station, we can service all vehicles - any make, model, and/or year.

Escondido Auto Tech is proud to be an Official California State Licensed Vehicle Safety Systems Station! If the DMV is requesting this inspection, we can certify any and all vehicles on the road.
